I don't like margarita's, but this picture made me laugh! I thought it was cute!
Feeling: I feel fine! :)
Excited about: THE HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!! Thanksgiving, but mostly Christmas! I loveeeee Christmas music and Christmas movies! I am ready to see family, and I hope most of them are able to make it home!
Family History
Monday was Veteran's Day! I was able to talk to both of my favorite veterans and hear many stories about their experiences off at war. My daddy went to Vietnam twice in 1967 and 1968, where he served in the U.S. Navy. He was awarded a bronze star medal in combat V, which was then the 7th highest medal. Combat V meant that they were under fired during his act of bravery! He talked about a few friends he had lost and how it's hard to think back and remember all the things he saw. I couldn't imagine how hard it is to still live with such memories. I posted the pictures below on Facebook in honor of his sacrifice on Veterans Day.
My granddaddy was also in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was aboard the U.S. San Saba in Japan when General MacArthur signed the peace treaty, after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I love hearing his stories and reading everything my mom wrote about his experience during WWII, especially how he met my grandmother and fell in love! It's romantic! I posted the pictures below on Facebook in honor of his sacrifice on Veterans Day!
Shaw Center Appointment
I had my first appointment at the Shaw Center on Thursday, November 14th. For the most part, I really liked the experience. I met some really sweet people, and even got to see an old friend, Davelyne! The midwife didn't seem to be very personable, but I think she had a lot going on! I was only going for an OB consult, but since Jeff and I had already taken off work that morning they decided to go ahead and check on the baby! The heart rate was at 160 which is strong and fast! She said that throughout the pregnancy I would want it between 110-160, so that makes me feel good. Jeff still says the baby has his heartbeat. LOL
I will be going back in about 3 weeks for a physical, so I better make sure I am eating good! I don't know if they will check for gestational diabetes yet, but my mother had it with me so I need to make sure I don't have it with my baby.
I may, also, be getting a new car! I am having continuous problems with my car lately. So, fingers crossed that I might get a new car for baby! I could use something the extra room, so an SUV would be nice!
